INI-CET 2020 REVIEW

Myself Dr. Sarthak Mishra gave INI-CET 2020 exam on November 2020 for January 2021 session and here is my opinion that i experienced-:

Overall Review :
💀 Difficulty : Moderate
💀 Problem faced by most people : Lengthy questions, bad images, wrong options, missing images

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

1. Anatomy : all IBQs – foramina of the skull, muscle attachments around all joints, larynx, root value, phrenic nerve identification, transverse sections of chest.

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

2. Physiology : basics but with clinical co-relation – skeletal muscle contraction, baroreceptor reflex, acid base graph, Pulmonary Function Test, renal diuresis, pressure volume graph in CVS

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

3. Biochemistry : lesser questions but from the same old topics of cycles, enzymes involved, Km & Kcat

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

4. Pathology : everything from known topics, except maybe one question that came from Robbins 10th edition update. Focus was on Hemat-Onco.

Hashimoto, fixatives used, telomerase, NLPHL, thalassemia, occupational lung diseases, epigenetics, mantle cell lymphoma, oncology, coagulation cascade factors, intestinal polyps, bone marrow aspiration, hematology (major).

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

5. Microbiology : as expected one life cycle of lepto, one IBQ on ascaris, PCR, COVID19 (4 questions), Dengue, protozoa on the basis of motility, meningitis.

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

6. FMT – asphyxia IBQ, rape victim examination, post mortem findings, drowning, antidotes for poisons, weapon and types of injury caused by them.

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

7. Pharmacology : again basics – bone forming drugs, alcohol and smoking dependence, ADRs of anti-depressants, PMDI, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, neurocysticercosis management, drugs in gout/RA, pain medications

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

8. Ophthalmology : glaucoma, anisocoria, identification of CN III,IV, VI on Cadaveric Images, eye manifestation in rheumatology

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

9. ENT : complication of CSOM, anterior rhinoscopy picture, auditory pathway, objective tests in ENT

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

10. SPM : Mass drug administration of Fe, vaccination in special situations, distribution curves, types of statistical analysis, VVM, thermic effect

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

11. Anaesthesia : CPR, airway instruments, BLS/ ACLS, HFNC, cannula size, positions in surgery, blue pipeline

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

12. Orthopedics – Braces, tests in Osteoporosis, osteosarcoma – IBQ, LBA – differentials, screws placement in spine surgery

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

13. Dermatology : IBQs, concentrate on STDs – they’re being asked left and right.

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

14. Radiology : views of skull Xray, cardia achalasia, DAI, tension pneumothorax, eFAST, bronchiectasis CT – nothing out of the world, basic images were asked.

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

15. OBG : partogram, fetal position, Zika virus vertical transmission, breech delivery, pap smear, cord prolapse, Leopold maneuvers

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

16. Surgery : qSOFA score, hand sanitizer, tubes and collecting bags – IBQ, the BIG 5, nerve injury as complications in various surgeries, lateral neck swelling, triangle of doom

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

17. Psychiatry : basics again – thought disorders, delirium, dementia, schizophrenia, adjustment disorder.

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

This should give you a decent idea as to what they ask. My intention was to put forth the topics and not the questions as they’ll never repeat the questions but the topics. 🙂
And above opinion is my memory based recall that i experienced after giving exam.
